DAY 01:
ARRIVE ISTANBUL – BOLU (L/D)
Upon arrival , visit Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace – the seat of the
Ottoman Empire, after it shifted its capital from Bursa to Istanbul. It is today, a museum
palace with a wide collection of Kitchen wares and Porcelains, Treasuries, Royal
Antiques, Courtyards, Holy Relics etc. After lunch, drive to Bolu. Dinner and overnight
in Bolu.
DAY 02:
BOLU – CAPPADOCIA (B/L/D)
After breakfast, drive to Ankara. Visit Mausoleum of Ataturk, the founder of Turkish
Republic. After lunch in Ankara, drive to Cappadocia. Visit Salt Lake on the way. Transfer
to hotel for dinner & overnight.
DAY 03:
CAPPADOCIA (B/L/D)
In the morning optional Hot Air Balloon tour available
After breakfast, visit Pigeons Valley Then photo stop at Dervent valley. Continue to visit
Uchisar – this old village consists of small dwellings carved into huge rock. The
contemporary village is at the skirts of the rock. If time permits, you may visit one of
these homes and experience life in here. Lunch will be at Avanos Village followed by
visit to famous local pottery workshop and state carpet co-operative allowing ample
time for shopping in the afternoon. Then Pasabag valley with unique volcanic
formations. Finally visit Underground City. Transfer to hotel for dinner & overnight.
DAY 04:
CAPPADOCIA – KONYA – PAMUKKALE (B/L/D)
After breakfast, drive to Konya. We will visit the 13 th century Caravanserai where Silk
Road tradesmen accommodate in those days. Lunch at Konya. Konya was the center of
the Seljuk Empire as well as the city of Mevlana and his Whirling Dervishes. After visiting
the Mevlana Museum , we will continue drive to Pamukkale. Visit Textile Outlet Center
in Pamukkale. Textile is the major export of Turkey. Proceed to the Antique City of
Hierapolis, where Calcareous Thermal Springs descending over cliffs have created
fascinating travertines in the form of white terrace and basins also known as the Cotton
Castle. Dinner & overnight in Pamukkale.
DAY 05:
PAMUKKALE – BURSA – ISTANBUL (B/L/D)
After breakfast drive to Bursa. After lunch, we Visit Grand Mosque; Ulu Cami is the
largest mosque in Bursa and a landmark of early Ottoman architecture, which carried
many elements from the Seljuk architecture. Our last visit will be Silk Market; Koza Han
(Silk Bazaar) The Koza (Cocoon) Han was commissioned by Bayezid II and built in 1490 in
the market neighborhood between Ulu Cami and Orhaniye, to provide income for the
sultan’s mosque in Istanbul. Dinner and overnight in Istanbul.
DAY 06:
DEPARTURE ISTANBUL (B)
After breakfast, visit famous Grand Bazaar. The Grand Bazaar (or Covered Bazaar,
Turkish: Kapalicarsi) in Istanbul is one of the largest covered markets in the world with
more than 58 streets and 4,000 shops, and has between 250,000 and 400,000 visitors
daily. Transfer to the airport for your flight.
